Women of all ages are playing Touch Rugby in Crowle, up at the village playing fields as part of a new Bowbrook community club. And they would love you to join them and try this fast, very low-contact form of rugby – no tackling, just a touch instead. They meet for an hour on Saturday afternoons from 2.30pm.
Any aged women can come along and play, no experience necessary and bring your daughters too – from 13 they can play with you. Trained coaches (DBS checked) will teach you everything you need to start playing straight away. It's a lot of fun! And the first three sessions are free.
All the equipment – balls, cones and pitch corner markers – is being provided by Pershore Touch, whose founder, Fizz Bewley, from Crowle is heading up this new "Crowle Women's Touch Rugby Club". A £100-grant from Crowle Parish Council is helping to launch the new community sporting venture.
Come and see what it's about – right next to the playground. WR7 4AZ.
